Steve was elected to Parliament on 14 October 2023 at number 9 on the Green Party list. He joins the Green’s largest caucus ever as one of 15 Members of Parliament. 

He stood as the candidate in West Auckland’s New Lynn electorate which recorded a record 16% of the Party Vote to Green.
